Market Access Liaison Manager. The ideal candidate has experience in the agricultural industry. The job incumbent will report to the CEO.
Duties

:
Facilitating international market access for the fruit industry to various priority markets
Ensuring the implementation of the core strategy: Gain, Retain and Optimise Market Access
Managing a multitude of relationships with numerous stakeholders
Conducting significant market research and compiling important market information for strategic decision-making
Understanding varying cultural contexts and advising how this impacts economies, trade and a country’s influence
Networking with and maintaining critical relationships with government and embassy representatives
Creating awareness about products exported from SA
Providing strategic advice and input regarding policy development
Engaging in strategy development and implementation regarding key industry matters, drivers and growth opportunities
Acting as a representative of Fruit SA/CEO at stakeholder engagements
Implementing and managing specific market-access projects

Requirements

:
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Production, Plant Production, Horticulture, International Trade Relations or a relevant field (relevant post-graduate qualification will be advantageous)
Background in international trade with a specific focus in international agricultural trade and market access processes
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position in the agricultural industry
Knowledge of Plant Health matters and international diplomacy/diplomatic relations will be advantageous
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (ability to communicate in a language such as Mandarin will be advantageous)
Ability to network and build connections (domestic and internationally) and influence
Excellent statistical and analytical skills and abilities
Outstanding project management skills and experience
