Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
Must have a relevant scientific B. Sc. or M. Sc. degree
Membership in SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions) will be an advantage
Minimum 5 years experience in regulatory and/or field research in the agricultural/chemical industry
Strong technical research, analysis, and reporting principles
Knowledge of agricultural products and pesticides is essential
Must have an understanding of regulatory processes and data requirements for product registration and maintenance of product integrity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in budget management, data analysis, and interpretation is advantageous
Strong project and time management as well as the ability to meet deadlines
Fluency in English and Afrikaans (Read, Write, Speak)
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel when required
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Developing and managing protocols for registration and screening trials.
Coordinating the availability and importation of trial products.
Supporting trial execution and monitoring contractor performance.
Facilitating trial visits and documenting findings.
Focusing on insecticides (INS), herbicides (HERB), and fungicides (FUN).
Completing protocols within deadlines.
Ensuring effective research methodology.
Maintaining clear communication with contractors.
Monitoring trial progress accurately.
Ensuring reliable data and report accuracy.
Evaluating data in a timely manner.
Training new personnel.
Loading data onto the relevant system.
Managing the budget and storeroom (Solo site).
Supporting other teams with trials and protocols.
Liaising with regulatory departments for trial import compliance.
Acting as second-in-command (2 IC) when needed.
Ensuring effective training and communication.
Maintaining the stock list.
Coordinating regulatory support.
