Description

This will be a senior role, reporting to the Chief Product and Commercial Officer, and will sit on the monthly Executive Committee. This individual will be a dynamic driven leader, ready to achieve growth in an expanding and critical channel for the business. Ultimately responsible for driving Sales, this role is responsible for ensuring our digital customers are delighted at every opportunity – with a goal to expand this channel into stores transforming the retail experience.

Develops Digital Sales strategy for Online commercial presence (Website and e-commerce partnerships) to support long term growth for the business and promotes the company and our extensive range of products.

  1. Drive growth in Digital Channels (Online website and e-commerce partnerships) to achieve business KPIs and articulate the support needed with People, Process and Technology.
  2. Set and achieve Digital Sales team KPIs – Sales, Conversion, Customer Growth (Existing / New customers), ROI.
  3. Identify and drive strategic partnerships and channels for e-commerce globally.
  4. Drive further share of wallet for existing customers – targeted strategy to drive repurchase.
  5. Pipeline growth and management.
  6. Monitor and analyze the conversion and propose improvements and optimization on investment in ad-spend.

Develops Digital Marketing strategy for Online commercial presence, working closely with Head of Marketing:

  1. Structure and deliver strategic marketing campaigns for the company website, e-commerce partnerships and social media brand presence to achieve business KPIs and articulate the support needed with People, Process and Technology.
  2. Set and achieve Digital Marketing team KPIs – impressions, leads, conversion – and statistics pertaining to Comms, PR.
  3. Identifies and evaluates new digital technologies and uses web analytics tools to measure site traffic to better optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising.
  4. Play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space.
  5. Train internal teams to use digital technologies.

Responsible for ongoing development of company website:

  1. Manage a team, in accordance with guidance from CP&CO, consisting of a technical development lead, UX/UI designer and backend developer (SEO Lead, support role in Marketing).
  2. Set Quarterly and Annual KPAs for Digital team.
  3. Mentor and coach staff to identify training needs and improve overall skill levels within the area and ensure that personal development plans are in place to address development needs and career aspirations.
  4. Drive the employee engagement strategy to ensure employees are motivated effectively and to reduce annual attrition rates.
  5. Ensure adequate and appropriate departmental infrastructure is in place to deliver against KPAs and to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Perform reporting/other related duties as assigned by CP&CO:

  1. Produce timely, accurate and concise monthly reporting covering all key Digital Sales and Marketing metrics.
  2. Effective weekly reporting in weekly sales meetings.
  3. Assist with attending all relevant stakeholder meetings and Ex Co meeting (where necessary).
  4. Ensure data integrity.

Experience:

  1. 5-7 years’ experience as a Digital Lead, with at least 3 years’ experience managing teams/senior managers.
  2. Strong e-commerce & digital experience.
  3. Strong UI/UX experience, if not through direct experience, at least showing a good breadth of knowledge or engagement.
  4. Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies.
  5. Ability to drive strategy and influence Ex Co decision making.

Education:

BSc degree, Digital technologies or relevant Business field.

Skills:

  1. Leadership, Interpersonal and Team Management: This role requires the candidate to be a strong leader, driving measurable team success and effectively communicating and collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure this success and contribution to business KPIs.
  2. Computer literacy: Proficiency with office productivity and analytics systems and ability to identify new systems that could add value.
  3. Excel: Excel formulas, pivot tables, data extraction and formatting.
  4. Problem solving: Ability to investigate unusual variances and advise as to actions.
  5. SEO/SEM and CRM: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience.
  6. Analytical skills: In-depth understanding of Digital ‘balance sheet’ and advanced knowledge of Google Analytics.
  7. Verbal and written communication skills: Ability to concisely communicate with varying levels of employees and management.
