Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Experience in interior design
• Relevant qualification (National Diploma in Interior Design) - advantageous
• Good knowledge of interior design
• Must have own transport
• Must have experience in Photoshop and Corel Draw
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver license and own vehicle

Duties and responsibilities:

• Design Support

  • Assist senior designers in developing creative concepts and design solutions for residential and commercial projects

  • Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and presentation boards

• Technical Drawings & Documentation

  • Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using design software (e.g., Photoshop and Corel Draw)

  • Assist in the preparation of design documentation for client presentations and project implementation

• Project Coordination

  • Support in managing project timelines and deliverables

  • Help coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of design plans

• Material & Product Sourcing

  • Research and source furniture, finishes, lighting, and décor in line with design intent and client budget

  • Maintain and update the materials library and supplier database

• Client Interaction

  • Attend client meetings with senior designers and take notes or assist in preparing design proposals

  • Provide professional support in presenting design concepts and responding to client feedback

• Site Visits

  • Participate in site inspections to measure spaces, check progress, and ensure design implementation aligns with the original vision

  • Assist in snag lists and post-installation evaluations

• Administrative Tasks

  • Help manage design files, project folders, and internal documentation

  • Support the team with general studio tasks and project organization

Remuneration:

R 8 000  - R 10 000 (depending on experience)
